Pinks
More commonly known as Sweet William, these fleeting little flowers bear rather striking serrate petals. The more fragrant varieties have a strong, zesty flavour similar to cloves and add spicy tones to sorbets, fruit salads and desserts, as well as making a great garnish for punch bowls. The white heel of the petal base has a bitter taste that is best removed beforehand.
